San Antonio, Texas will be the location of the 78th International General Assembly of the Church of God to be held in the summer of 2022. The official announcement is made today by General Overseer Tim Hill and the Church of God International Executive Committee.
The dates for the Texas gathering will be July 25-29, 2022 and will take place at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. San Antonio is famous for its RiverWalk, home to dozens of shops and restaurants and located adjacent to the convention center. The Riverwalk is also connected with many of the hotels with which the Church of God will be contracting for special Assembly rates.
The 2022 General Assembly (GA22) will be the 78th event, which was postponed earlier this year because of the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. The International Executive Council, meeting in session on April 21, 2020, voted to postpone the 2020 Assembly, originally scheduled for July 21-24 at the Indianapolis Convention Center.
